Juniper wins Data Center awards again!

Wow! The Juniper, QFX 10000 Data Center switch won the Interop Tokyo 2016 Data Center Grand Prix award. This is the second year in a row it’s won this award.

Also, as of October 31st, 2016, all of Juniper’s QFX 10000 series switches are JTIC certified for DoD use. This makes the QFX the fastest and highest density 10/40/100 GB Data Center switch on DoD’s Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL).

EVPN Multi-homing; Next Gen Multihoming

Here’s a great article of how EVPN is positioned work with MC-LAG and eventually replace MC-LAG and Cisco’s proprietary VSS with a more robust, standards based way to interconnect chassis together in a Data Center. I’m a big fan of reducing complexity, protocols, and configuration while sticking with standards and avoiding proprietary system lock in.
